March 2025 - our lovely ladies are laying lots of their lovely fresh free range eggs again!
Here is a selection of the the beautiful eggs the girls have laid today.... We have slowly built up a flock of mixed breeds to achieve these "rainbow coloured eggs"
The fresh egg in the bowl is how your eggs should look, the egg should sit proud and be vibrant in colour which show that the birds have been allowed to free range, exercise and roam and have access to a healthy more natural mixed diet.
Fresh free range eggs are perfect for poached eggs and particularly for baking and have more of the good stuff like Omega-3 & vitamins A, D and E in them.
Our eggs are available daily at the gates of the smallholding

Workshops at Hope Springs
We are excited for the plans we have for 2025/26. Denise has held courses and workshops over the last few years for the Small Farm Training Group and East Sussex Smallholders and we have decided to branch out by hosting and delivering our own workshops at Hope Springs.
There will be a large variety of subjects which will appeal to different audiences but they will centre around the smallholding life but you don't need a smallholding or own land to learn new skills!
